Position overview:

This position will be responsible for all of Company manufacturing operation in Yuma, Arizona. Work with the Executive team on strategic planning and decision making for the organization. Responsibilities will include financial items related to overall production and equipment. Will evaluate new equipment and processes to meet future strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives. Lead a small team of direct reports to meet organizations production short and long term goals. Ensure that established procedures and approved processes are followed. Ensure that acceptable levels of efficiency, safety and quality are being maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • On a regular basis travel to each one of the Company locations
  • Lead a small group of direct reports at each location to ensure company production goals are being maintained
  • Maintain the financial success of your area of responsibility and assist with the overall responsibility of the company including, but not limited to productivity improvements, cost savings, business development and negotiations with subcontractors
  • At times take on additional responsibilities such as champion of a project or managing an existing one
  • Work in a team environment with the other members of the leadership team to ensure that company goals and objectives are being met
  • Develop the skill set of your direct reports to comply with Company succession planning
  • Complete in a timely manner all Human Resources administrative paperwork including, but not limited to direct report merit reviews, disciplinary actions, accident reports and other employee related documents
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure a good product is being manufactured and all ISO policies and procedures are followed
  • Champion the maintaining and improving of the ERP system
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures: understands and adheres to all
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Environment
  • Knowledge of scheduling and understanding of Production Planning
  • Adept at contingency planning
  • Math skills; proficient with emphasis of geometric math
  • Advanced Microsoft office, UniPoint, and Outlook skills

  • Working knowledge of engine components

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 year degree, degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in operational management
  • Experience in textile and manufacturing industries, with hands on experience working knowledge of quality systems and how it affects the entire enterprise
