Quality Inspector

Position Overview:

Primary duties are to inspect orders with designated inspection routing.  Complete non-conformance tags for incorrect product.  Enter findings in Quality System (UNIPOINT).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect finished parts and work in process to determine if the parts comply with the known standards
  • Document non-compliances and alert the appropriate areas of the non-conformance events
  • Work with production leads and operators to ensure conformance to specifications and standards
  • Train on the conformance process as necessary
  • Perform first piece/article inspection and document appropriately
  • Report Document findings to Quality Supervisor
  • Review travelers to ensure sequence of operations are complete
  • Use drawings and calibration tools as needed to confirm conformance and correctness of part
  • Assist in PPA process as requested
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

 

Skills/ Knowledge:

·        Read AutoCAD; flat patterns, 2D, 3D

·        Read flat patterns and or schematics

·        Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Environment

·        Read work instructions/work orders

·        Intermediate Microsoft Office, Unipoint and Outlook skills

·        Working Knowledge of ISO quality systems

·        ERP – JobBoss; Intermediate skills system maintenance and management

·        Knowledge of safety policies and procedures: understands and adheres to all

·        Excellent communication/social skills

·        Advanced Organizational skills

·        Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures with in field

·        SOP for manufacturing environment

·        Knowledge of Quality & Engineering Management

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent, preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field
