The Agricultural Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the installation, diagnosis, repair, overhaul, replacement and preventative/routine maintenance on all farm machinery and vehicles supporting our operation. This position is to ensure all equipment has been properly cleaned and checked for problems and repairs prior to field work. The Agricultural Equipment Mechanic will also be responsible for facilities and ground maintenance.


  1. Follow a pre-season inspection schedule and complete annual maintenance. Inspect equipment for mechanical, structural, and normal wear items.
  2. Fabricate repair parts/patches as needed through use of basic millwright skills (measurement, design, cutting, welding, etc.)
  3. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  4. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools.
  5. Assists with facilities and ground maintenance including, but not limited to ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical.
  6. Conduct inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  7. Ensure all equipment is ready for daily use.
  8. Maintain all necessary report logs.
  9. Maintain clean and organized shop as well the company equipment in good clean orderly condition.
  10. Follow all safety guidelines.
  11. Travel to fields as needed.
  12. As per season needs, occasionally need to be on call.
  13. Special projects as assigned by supervisor.

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Technical degree in Agricultural, Diesel or Construction Mechanics, Preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. English is required.
  • At least 2 years of mechanic work with heavy equipment and trucks is required
  • Own and maintain required personal tools
  • Valid Driver’s License required.



  • Welding and fabricating skills
  • Experience in working with farm equipment is desired
  • Electrical Experience is desired
  • Experience with the safe operation of farm/manufacturing equipment is required
  • Proficient and comfortable with technology
